2/5/2016 NBA Picks of the Day

The following analysis is provided by Ultimate DFS:

POINT GUARDS

Cheap

None

Mid-Priced

Ish Smith ($10,400) - Smith is the focal point of the Sixers' offense. He should see a ton of minutes tonight against a Washington squad that is surprisingly susceptible to point guards despite John Wall's prowess as a defender.

Derrick Rose ($10,100) - Rose Draws a great matchup tonight against Emmanuel Mudiay's lackluster defense. His usage is a concern with all the weapons Chicago has, but I look for Rose to have low ownership tonight making him a viable option in tournaments.

Expensive

Rajon Rondo ($13,500), John Wall ($15,700), and Chris Paul ($15,400) are all on my radar tonight. Rostering 2 of them may be costly but they all have big game potential tonight given their match ups and the Vegas lines on their games.

SHOOTING GUARDS

Cheap

Danny Green ($7,600) - Green will be able to log a ton of minutes now that Manu Ginobili will be forced to miss an extended period of time. Get this sharpshooter in your lineups tonight.

E'Twaun Moore ($8,000) - Moore showed up in a big way in Jimmy Butler's absence last game. He is projected to start at shooting guard with Butler moving over to the small forward position. It's hard not to roster a starter who can accumulate points quickly at such a low price point.

Mid-Priced

Monta Ellis ($10,800) - Ellis has shown ability in the past to carry the Pacers when Paul George puts up a dud. Ellis is an Intriguing option for tournaments tonight with his matchup.

Expensive

Dwayne Wade ($12,500) - Wade has really turned back the clock during this recent hot streak. The Hornets don't really have any defenders that are capable of containing Wade. With Hassan Whiteside coming off the bench tonight, the limited minutes could result in some increased looks for Wade.

Jimmy Butler ($12,900) - Butler is close to a must play if Gasol is ruled out of tonight's contest. He brings a solid floor and exceptional ceiling every night he takes the court.

SMALL FORWARDS

Cheap

Jabari Parker ($7,400) - Parker is substantially underpriced on DraftFury.

Mid-Priced

Chandler Parsons ($9,200), Robert Covington ($9,300), and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist ($9,300) are all in consideration tonight with their price points, although Parsons in particular draws an incredibly tough matchup against Kawhi Leonard.

Expensive

LeBron James ($16,200) - If I'm spending up on small forward today, I'm taking LeBron. King James has been on a terror lately and I don't see it stopping tonight. The Cavaliers are one of my favorite teams to target overall on this slate.

POWER FORWARDS

Cheap

Willie Cauley-Stein ($6,800) -  WCS is only an option in tournaments tonight but he plays better when Cousins is in.

Amare Stoudemire ($7,000 and Tristan Thompson ($7,800) should both see good minutes tonight in prime match ups.

Taj Gibson ($8,400) - There's a ton of value at power forward tonight, but Taj is a must play against a Denver interior that has been dominated time and again. With all of the injuries in the Bull's front court, Gibson should see a boatload of minutes tonight.

Mid-Priced

None

Expensive

Kevin Love ($13,800) - I love Kevin Love tonight (pun intended) with his amazing matchup and increased role in Cleveland's offense recently.

CENTERS

Cheap

Robin Lopez ($7,900) - While I certainly don't expect a repeat performance from last night, Lopez is worth a look as he seems to thrive against centers who don't stray too far from the basket.

Mid-Priced

Marcin Gortat ($10,700) - Gortat makes an intriguing tournament play tonight at his price point and could pay big dividends in Philly manages to keep things close.

Expensive

DeMarcus Cousins ($17,500) - Cousins is the best fantasy basketball player on the planet. Fade at your own risk.
